The stay

A family lake house with resort amenities next door.

A full townhome at Sandalia Beach Resort: lake and mountain views from every level, a lower door that opens toward the sand, and the clubhouse just across the drive. The house is set up for gatherings — two living rooms, a real kitchen, and enough beds for two families traveling together.

The lower level opens toward the sand: family room with lake sliders, foosball, a kitchenette, and a stacked washer/dryer. Upstairs is the gathering floor — stone fireplace, dining table, full kitchen, and the deck from the photo at the top of this page.

The townhome sits in a small gated community on the U.S. shore of Lake Osoyoos. Resort amenities are seasonal and shared with other owners — close enough to use, quiet enough to sleep.

Two kayaks, bicycles, towels, and beach chairs stay with the house. Bring rods if you want to fish; bass and trout are in the lake.

Oroville & Osoyoos

Warm water, wine hills, and a quiet border town.

Lake Osoyoos is one of the warmest freshwater lakes in the Northwest. Oroville is the U.S. side — smaller, slower, and a short hop to Osoyoos, B.C. wineries if you bring a passport.

On the water

Kayak from the beach. Swim. Fish bass and trout. The resort dock is out front. Deep Bay Park boat launch is just down the road.

Pool & clubhouse

Seasonal community pool, hot tub, and a clubhouse with pool table, ping pong, and a place to hide from the afternoon sun.

Evenings on the sand

Beach fire ring, still water, and the occasional fireworks show over the lake. Quiet hours start at 10.

Wine country next door

South Okanagan vineyards start just across the border. Oroville has several great dining options if you want to stay stateside.

Where is the house, exactly?

Sandalia Beach Resort in Oroville, Washington, on the U.S. shore of Lake Osoyoos. Exact unit and gate instructions go out after booking. It is a gated community with a shared sandy beach, not a private standalone lot.

Is there a boat slip?

Moorage (lift) is available seasonally for an additional fee. If you are bringing a boat, say so in the inquiry so we can confirm availability. Deep Bay Park has a public launch that is sandy and well protected making for easy trailering. There is ample parking within the community for your trailer so you can unhitch with peace of mind.

Pets?

The house is not set up as pet-friendly. ADA Service Animals are welcome.

What is seasonal?

The community pool and hot tub follow resort hours and typically run in warm months only. The dock is also seasonal and subject to varied availabiltiy. The lake, beach, kayaks, grill, yard games, and house itself are the year-round reasons to come — fall and shoulder season are quieter and still beautiful.

Who hosts?

Jon and Susanne. We have hosted this house for five years and managed rentals for much longer. We answer quickly and otherwise leave you to enjoy the lake.
